March is Red Cross Month, and Hoffman Car Wash is proud to be again teaming up with the American Red Cross to raise critical funds for the delivery of life-saving blood to area hospitals that is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries.
From Friday, March 24 though Sunday, March 26, all Ceramic Shield & Shine + Rain-X $5 upgrades will be donated to the American Red Cross. This special three-day event will be taking place at all 23 of our Exterior and Full Service locations.
The Red Cross provides about 40 percent of our nation’s blood and blood components, all from generous volunteer donors. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood or platelets. Approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in the U. S.
“As part of our commitment to promote kindness and goodwill in the communities we serve, we are proud to support the American Red Cross with this special event at Hoffman Car Wash. By practicing kindness and supporting a cause that helps so many people, we can make a positive impact and inspire others to do the same.” Tom Hoffman Jr, CEO Hoffman Car Wash.
Red Cross Month celebration has been an annual tradition since 1943 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued the first Red Cross Month proclamation to raise awareness of the organization and its humanitarian mission. Throughout the month of March, the Red Cross honors those who make the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross possible — the individuals across the country who turn compassion into action, helping others in times of crisis.
As the seasons change, the Red Cross is reminding the public that the need for blood doesn’t take a break. Blood and platelets remain at risk of running low this month. Donors are crucial to helping the Red Cross avoid a blood shortage in the weeks to come. Donors of all blood types, especially type O donors and platelet donors, are encouraged to make and keep appointments to donate. Book a time to give by visiting redcrossblood.org, downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
The event is part of Hoffman Car Wash’s “Practice Kindness” initiative to spread positivity and goodwill in the communities we serve. In the past year alone, Hoffman Car Wash supported Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless (IPH), Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), and the ALS Regional Center, among many other initiatives.
Hoffman Car Wash also supports many non-profits and youth organizations through its Helping Hands Fundraising program.
